Upgrade
Your Mac. If you haven't upgraded, NOW is the time!
Tiger is a major system software release with over 200 new
features. Some of the features I'm most excited about are Spotlight, Dashboard and
the new interface in OS
X Mail. Tiger will simply install over your existing copy
of Jaguar or Panther, updating your computer with the latest

Included Programs.
iLife '06, is Apple's software suite
containing iPhoto,
iMovie, iDVD, iTunes, Garageband and iWeb. This release
for '06 packs some refinements to the suite that will bring
usability up a knotch as well as a new program for website creation
called iWeb. The price tag is quite small as well. For only $79.00

Link) you get all those applications and their new
features. Installing iLife '06 will replace your older versions
so you don't have to worry about filling up your hard drive.

Presentations
and Beautiful Pages. iWork is not a full office suite
like Microsoft Office, instead it is a couple of Apple's greatest
programs for creating beautiful documents.
Keynote: Keynote is a very simple to use and
flashy application for creating presentations. With keynote you
can
present any
type of product with great flair. The transitions in
this program are exceptional. Life type effects, animate objects
on the screen and make your presentation look awesome.
Pages: Pages is a sort-of replacement for Appleworks
and is another easy-to-use program from Apple. There are over
40 included templates, great
table features, high quality typography tools, multiple columns
and a whole lot more. People are describing Pages more as a page
layout program than a word processor, but it is easy to do both.

| Manage
and Backup your Data. .Mac is a service
from Apple that I cannot live without any more. With .Mac I know
that if my computer was stolen I would still have access to a
large bit of imporant data (Address Book, Safari Bookmarks, iCal
Calendars). .Mac allows us to backup our data on Apple's servers
for safe keeping or for transfering to a second, third or more
computers. We also get Backup, software for automatically backing
up precious
data
to Apple's servers, CDs or iPods, an email address, 1GB of online storage,
HomePage
creation
from within iPhoto, iCal calendar publishing (for sharing your
dates with others), an online learning center and frequent
special deals (free software, discounts, etc.) Every Mac user
should consider .Mac as a way to keep their data safe.
