applications I use a lot and that I am 100% in love with. I recommend
everyone download and make use of them. Of course, my tastes in
computer technology may vary from yours, but it's good to share
right? |

| Store Passwords & Serial
Numbers. I cannot live without this program, and everyone
I've shown it to has become addicted. I spend a lot of time online.
I have accounts at different websites, I have passwords for email
accounts, I have accounts for paying bills online. All these
accounts require usernames and passwords to access the information.
I don't want to keep track of this info in my brain, so I use
Password Master to hold it all for me. When I want to visit a
website and access my account I just open Password Master, enter
1 password for accessing all my data and then view the account
information I need. Never forget data again.

| Instant
Messaging for Every Service. If you don't know what
instant messaging is then you're really missing out (in my opinion).
Instant messaging allows you to send text messages from your
computer to friends, receive a reply and basically have an instant
conversation without spending money on a phone call. There are
many instant messaging services (all are free) and the great
thing about Proteus is it seamlessly integrates them all into
one program (MSN, AOL, ICQ and Yahoo). Proteus is open on my
Mac all day long.

| Control
iTunes. iTunes is incredibly easy to use but doesn't
have all the fancy features some people wish it had. To get a
few additional features, here comes Synergy, basically a remote
control for iTunes. Synergy places a play/pause, next and previous
button in your toolbar so you don't have to bring iTunes up in
order to change songs. Synergy also has customizable hot key
functions so you can control additional parts of iTunes by typing
certain keys on your keyboard. Synergy is inexpensive, fun and
another of my favorites.

| Internet
Resource Tool. If you have ever used Sherlock, which
is included with OSX, then you will be familiar with Watson.
The difference is Watson has tons more tools than Sherlock does,
it is faster AND it was on the market 1st! There is a recipe
tool, a weather tool, a Research tool, Football and Baseball
tools and many more! This is absolutely my favorite piece of
OSX Shareware. Update: Watson has
been sold to Sun Microsystems. The software will not be updated
by its original developer and I'm not sure what will happen to
it. Very sad, very. |
